President Raisi: Iran ready to play role in restoring peace to Ukraine

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday underlined Iran's resolve to make diplomatic efforts to help resolve the crisis in Ukraine, adding that Tehran is ready to play its role to restore peace in the country.

President Raisi made the remarks during a cabinet session.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran while understanding the security concerns about several decades of expansionism by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) reiterated the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of all countries of the world," the Iranian president said. 

He said that Iran firmly believes that the only fair and sustainable solution to exit the current situation is diplomacy and sincere loyalty to international commitments by all sides.
