Seyyed Asadullah Avaee, director of the Islamic Center of Manchester, told IRNA on Friday that Imam Khomeini was a sharp and intelligent in political affairs, who started fighting dictatorship during Reza Shah, when Imam was a young man.
Moreover, the prominent motto of “Neither East, Nor West” has its roots in His faith and mysticism, which shows the great man’s foresight, Avaee noted.
Imam Khomeini predicted the collapse of Communism, when no one had an idea on the issue, he said, adding that such a prediction came from Imam’s deep studies and expertise analysis of international developments.
The Imam planned to establish an Islamic civilization, the cleric noted.
“With such an Islamic movement, we have reached to the point and pushed back world powers; we should start construction with the use of this Islamic movement from now on, and we should altogether go ahead to create a divine civilization,” Avaee quoted Imam Khomeini as saying.
Therefore, the quotation shows that Imam Khomeini was not seeking to only overthrow a corrupt regime, but He wanted to create a great Islamic civilization, Avaee underlined.
According to the scholar, other nations in the West Asia region have heard Imam Khomeini and his Islamic Revolution’s message; so, they are well aware that the only way to get rid of tyranny and operation is that they should follow up his movement.
