Kuwait hosts webinar on pandemic diseases in Islamic civilization

Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) holds its annual meeting in webinar on "Pandemic Diseases in Islamic Civilization and ways to confront" attended by a number of fiq'h scholars, medical, pharmacists, economic and social experts from across the world of Islam on 25-26 December, 2020.

Kuwaiti webinar sponsored by the UN subcategory was held in a two-day event where 25 researches were submitted and the Islamic fiq'h views on the different aspects of pandemic diseases and catastrophes in the Islamic civilization and also the mental repercussions of the calamities were discussed, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The webinar also discussed the views of Muslim scholars on pandemic diseases and its effects on families and society.

The expansion of corruption during the pandemic, demoralization in medicine and also inappropriate function of the governments aiming to gain unauthorized incomes were also among the topics discussed in the online event.

Among other topics discussed in the Kuwaiti webinar were the ways to prevent spread of the new coronavirus, economic outcomes of the disease and other contagious diseases in view of Islam and also ways to confront the disease.

The two-day webinar on "Pandemic Diseases in Islamic Civilization and ways to confront" was held in an online event to tailor the subject of the annual meeting with the current issue of the world, COVID-19 and the ways to contain the pandemic which has plagued the world for over a year.
