Yemeni Scholars Voice Solidarity with Iran

IQNA – The Yemeni Scholars Association declared its full solidarity with Iran and called on the Islamic world to adopt a unified position in this regard.

The association underlined its full support and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and called on the scholars of the Islamic world to declare a fraternal Islamic position in support of Tehran against the pressures of the United States of America and the Israeli regime, Naba website reported.

It emphasized the need for stability and resistance and warned against any concessions to the demands of the United States, the Israeli regime and the West.

The association also stressed the need to express loyalty to the believers and take a clear stance against the enemies of God.

It called on the Islamic world - governments, nations and armies - to abandon their shameful silence and neutrality, emphasizing that what the Islamic world in general and Iran in particular are facing requires a unified and effective stance.

At the end of its statement, the association called for public mobilization, increased levels of preparedness, and response to the Quran’s call for jihad in the way of God, emphasizing that the current stage requires unity and the adoption of practical positions that go beyond making statements of condemnation.

The statement comes as US President Donald Trump has escalated rhetoric, threatening new military action against Iran.

Washington recently deployed the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its accompanying strike group to West Asia near Iran.

Iranian officials have warned that there will be a firm military response to any act of aggression against the country.
