Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Shahroudi, a member of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and former representative of the Supreme Leader in Kurdistan Province, stated that the highest level of Islamic solidarity took shape following Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

He added that in the subsequent phase, the Revolution entered the international arena with the aim of supporting oppressed and
freedom-seeking nations. According to Shahroudi, contemporary advocacy for causes such as Gaza and Yemen reflects what he described as the Revolution’s justice-oriented outlook.
The cleric further pointed to the declaration of Quds Day by Imam Khomeini and his particular focus on the Palestinian issue as evidence of the Revolution’s commitment to defending oppressed peoples. He described these initiatives as a significant service to both the Muslim Ummah and humanity at large.
Shahroudi also highlighted what he called the deepening bond between different segments of society and the Revolution. “Islamic schools of thought advanced the Revolution along a single path and shared objective, sacrificing lives for its success,” he said, adding that followers of various sects continue to safeguard it collectively. He argued that the clearest manifestation of this solidarity can today be observed in the formation of the so-called “Axis of Resistance.”
In conclusion, Shahroudi asserted that the enemies of Islam are increasingly disillusioned, claiming that the Islamic Revolution has undermined their achievements and challenged what he described as Western imperial and hegemonic ambitions.
