Behind the hijab: Epstein files expose Middle East’s moral decay

When poverty enters through the door, religion and morality fly out of the window. This adage applies equally to wealth; in reverse logic, we may say, “Religion and morality fly out of the window when wealth appears at the door.”

Thoroughly convinced that wealth could strip humanity of its spirituality, Jesus said, “You cannot serve God and Mammon.” He also taught, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

In the Torah, people are warned against forgetting the Lord and becoming proud when enjoying prosperity and abundance (Deuteronomy 8:11–18).

The Quran likewise condemns the accumulation of wealth without charity. Surah Al-Humazah (104:1–9) warns those who greedily amass riches, stating they will be cast into a fire that seals over their hearts.

In an authentic narration, Prophet Muhammad said, “Those who live to accumulate riches will be the lowest on Judgement Day, except for one who gives away such wealth — but those are few.”

Since this article focuses on the Jeffrey Epstein files and wealthy Western and Middle Eastern elites devoid of morality, verses from Christian and Islamic scriptures—two main religions of the respective regions—are cited here.

It is indeed shocking to learn about the decadence and depravity of the billionaire class, as revealed by the Epstein files. Equally shocking—and disappointing—is the absence of a public agitation against those who indulged in sheer evil: raping underage girls, performing satanic rituals, and committing every kind of immorality that defies human imagination.

Islam is often associated with modesty, known as 'haya' in Arabic. The Prophet said that Islam’s distinct characteristic is haya. This explains why Islam insists on a strict dress code and prescribes rules that outline the limits of relations between men and women.

When the Epstein files expose the dealings of wealthy and influential Arabs, shocked adherents of Islam ask whether Islam has fled from the Arabian Peninsula—Jazeerathul Arab—where the Prophet established Abrahamic monotheism, abolishing superstition, immorality and irrationality.

As though the tarnishing of Islam by so-called Islamic terrorists—often manipulated by Zionist schemers and Western imperialists—were not enough, the horrific conduct of the Middle Eastern elite, as detailed in the Epstein files, further sullies the faith. This raises troubling questions about whether wealthy Arab Muslims have sacrificed the concept of haya on the satanic altar of Epstein’s house of shame. Take, for example, a woman identified in the Epstein files as Hind al-Owais, a United Arab Emirates diplomat who held a senior advisory position at the United Nations and who, until the lid was blown off, headed the emirate’s Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR). In her public life, al-Owais, whom Epstein intended to make a minister in the UAE government, advocated for the rights of women and girls. Her words carry weight because she comes from a conservative Arab and Islamic background. “Investing in women is the right and strategic choice,” she has publicly declared.

Yet, her private life and the depth of her friendship with Epstein—the billionaire financier, sex predator, paedophile, pervert, and alleged spy-dealmaker—make one shudder and demand a new definition of immorality.

In an email correspondence with Epstein, four years after he was convicted of child sex trafficking and questionably released after as short a jail term as 13 months for a crime that humanity can only come to terms with through ultimate revulsion and distaste, Al-Owais wrote, “Hi, I am already in discussion with XXXX {redacted} on time – I am so excited to see you and introduce you to my sister – she is even prettier than me!!!!!”

In response, the convicted sex predator, wrote: “anyday until sun – would you like to come to lunch on sat with her.” Al Owais wrote, “Are you in town??? My sister is here and I have told her so much about you. I want her to meet you… Let me know when!!!!!!” She signed off the email with “Kisses”.

In another email to Al-Owais, who sometimes wears a hijab and abaya, Epstein wrote he “would like more time with you two.”

We do not know what her relationship with the convicted sex offender Epstein was. Perhaps she only used her feminine charm—albeit within the boundaries of Western morality. In Western society, immorality, infidelity, and adultery are not crimes. But in Islam, they are. The perpetrators are punished with 100 lashes in public, a practice still enforced in many Arab countries, including the UAE. In some tribal Islamic societies, the guilty are stoned to death, though this form of punishment is not prescribed in the Quran.

Her story—as documented in more than 400 Epstein files—needs to be told to highlight the decadent depth to which Arab-Islamic society has fallen. Abundant oil wealth—and the arrogance that came with it—led them to choose immorality over morality—or worldly pleasure, debauchery and depravity over the promised afterlife.

Another influential and immensely wealthy UAE woman, identified in the Epstein files as Aziza Al-Ahmadi, in an act condemned in Islam as idol worship, sent three pieces of Kiswah, the cloth covering of the sacred Ka’ba in Makkah, ostensibly for a ritual intended to empower Epstein. In one of the photographs released by the US Department of Justice, what many identify as the Kiswah cloth is seen being used as a floor rug in Epstein’s house.

In another shocking email, UAE billionaire Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the CEO of Dubai Port (DP) World and one of the most powerful men in the world today, asks Epstein if he enjoyed the torture video. Sadism was normalised, it seems, in the world of Epstein and his associates.

Bin Sulayem liaised with Epstein and Ehud Barak, a former Israeli prime minister and intelligence chief, to facilitate the so-called Abrahamic Accord between Israel and the UAE. The Epstein files also indicate that bin Sulayem and Epstein helped enable a greater Israeli presence in the UAE, arguably the most Israeli-friendly Arab country today.

As the Middle Eastern region is being led into moral decline by Epstein-like forces, the failure of imams to guide society onto the correct path is outrageous. Islam has no priesthood, yet scholars are regarded as the heirs of prophets and are entrusted with the task of preventing society from being consumed by decadence. Rarely do we see today scholars of the calibre of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz—scholars who would advise the rulers to oppose Israel as long as it occupied Palestine.

The silence of timid Islamic scholars may enable Israel to dominate or even take over the Middle East sooner rather than later. A key part of the Zionist plan involves eroding Islamic values in Arab countries and demonising Islam, allowing only a version of Islam that offers no resistance to Zionist and imperial injustice to prevail. This is why they seek to destabilise Iran, where Islam remains a force of resistance against Western imperialism.

Every Middle Eastern country that fails to recognise this danger will be forced to “sing and dance before Israel”, much as Epstein advised India and Qatar.

Meanwhile, despite the release of roughly three million Epstein files into the public domain, none of Epstein’s associates—apart from his partner Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of media magnate and Israeli spy Robert Maxwell—has been brought to justice for their cover‑up and failure to alert authorities to his crimes.

When asked during Wednesday’s Congress hearing, Attorney General Pam Bondi reacted aggressively, using diversionary tactics to deflect key questions, leaving them unanswered.
