Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held talks with President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Annalena Baerbock, as part of his meeting with foreign diplomats in New York.

Araghchi, who is heading a diplomatic delegation at the UN headquarters, has so far held dozens of bilateral meetings with his foreign counterparts and international figures, in addition to participating in various ministerial meetings at the United Nations.
The 80th session of the General Assembly began on September 9 under the theme “Better Together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights”.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed world leaders at the UNGA on Wednesday. He also met a number of heads of state and leaders, including the UN secretary-general, before he departed New York for Tehran.
