The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a statement emphasizing the special status of the holy sites in Jerusalem for Muslims, noting that the sanctity and security of these holy sites are closely linked to achieving peace and security in the entire region.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation issued a statement emphasizing the special place of the holy sites in the occupied al-Quds for Muslims, stating that the sanctity and security of these holy sites are strongly linked to the achievement of peace and security in the entire region, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The statement, noting that Israeli extremists, with the support of the Zionist regime's army, violated the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and committed numerous crimes, warned against the escalation in Judaization and ethnic cleansing policies against the occupied al-Quds and its residents, and the gross violation of international law and United Nations conventions in this regard.
In this statement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, emphasizing the centrality of the issue of Palestine and the city of Jerusalem for Muslims around the world, once again reaffirmed its steadfast support for the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people aimed at ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also pledged to continue all its political, diplomatic, and legal efforts to support Al-Aqsa Mosque and its resistance, and to protect its authentic Islamic and historical orientation.
