After the “Ibrahim Pact” project to normalize relations between the Israeli regime and the Arab states, the so-called blockade and isolate Iran and the Resistance groups failed in the face of the October 7 attack. Then, after the devastating war in Gaza, the Israeli authorities concluded that they should define a new strategy for their security. While the Ibrahim Pact emphasized using economic and technological means to weaken the enemy, the new strategy consisted of physically destroying the enemy’s infrastructure, supporters, and elites in the command ranks.
Based on this strategy, an all-out war in the region would be the best option for the Zionist authorities to be able to attack various positions, people, and targets in the target countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, without restrictions and under the cover of war and if possible eliminate the roots of all threats against Tel Aviv in the region.
Certainly, the Israeli authorities know that they are not capable of fighting on several fronts alone. Still, the experience of Iran’s missile attack on the Israeli regime (after the missile attack of this regime on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Syria) showed them that their Western and Arab supporters will not leave them alone and when confrontation against Iran is the subject matter a flood of financial, military and logistical aid and support is sent to the Occupied Territories!
It is in this framework that one can understand the motivation of the pager follow-up attack and then the missile attacks of the Israeli regime on Lebanon. The fact is that at the current stage, the continuation of the war in the region serves the interests of many actors, and as a result, they react by showing the green light. Within the Israeli regime itself, Netanyahu, to cover up the human disaster without any achievements in Gaza, has to present his government as a successful and efficient administration seeking security for the residents of the Occupied Territories by taking calculated measures and using new technologies.
After the killing of several Israeli hostages in recent weeks, the wave of internal protests against Netanyahu intensified, and many analysts spoke of the necessity of his resignation from power. Therefore, it was necessary to contain and control the internal situation by creating an external shock. At the same time, Netanyahu hopes for Trump’s re-election and more US support for his government; to fulfill this wish, he needs to take some time and maintain himself in power until the US presidential polls.
On the other hand, Western countries and especially the United States, although they are worried about their image and credibility in supporting the genocides and war crimes of the Israeli regime at the same time, cannot ignore the interests of their weapons factories. Moreover, weakening Iran and the Resistance front is also in line with their interests.
Some Arab countries in the region, especially some sheikhs of the Persian Gulf, are silently celebrating the weakening of Hamas and the Hezbollah. Any action that leads to the decline of Iran’s power and operational capability, especially the targeting of our country’s nuclear and missile sites by the Israeli regime and its allies, welcome it. However, they discuss the need to control regional tensions in their declared policies.
Therefore, what makes the region’s current situation dangerous and portrays a vague and dark outlook is the hidden alliance of various Western-Arab-Hebrew actors to expand the scope of the war. However, their speeches and positions show the opposite. In such a situation, Iran’s smart solution should be to weaken this satanic alliance against the country and the Resistance groups in the region.
Competent Iranian decision-making authorities and diplomacy should take smart measures to loosen the links of this alliance one by one and remove them from the jirga of hostility towards Iran. The use of the country’s bargaining chips, including the option of harsh revenge for the assassination of Hamas leader Haniyeh in Iran, the proposal to revive the JCPOA during the Biden tenure as a concession in his foreign policy on the condition of curbing the Israeli regime and ending the wars in Gaza and Lebanon, warning and explaining some of the consequences of an all-encompassing regional war with the presence of Iran is to pave the way for the security of the United States of America and other supporters of the Israeli regime in Europe and the region.
In this regard, the thoughtful speech of the President of our country at the United Nations and his emphasis on the importance of peace in the region and the world, Iran’s effort to start a new era in international relations, and his warning against the Zionist regime’s warmongering and setting the region on fire and its consequences for everyone `was appropriate and important.
