Modern methods of teaching Russian language and literature were discussed by the participants of the fourth Kostomarov Forum, where 116 countries were represented. Its programme included more than 30 events: panel discussions, seminars, conferences, master classes, creative meetings with writers, presentations of new projects and modern research.
The Forum, organised by The Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, was held for the fourth time. According to the organisers, they received more than 6000 applications for participation. TV BRICS is the information partner of the event.
Among the guests were cultural figures, representatives of the authorities, business and public organisations, as well as writers, poets and publicists. Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS, and Tamara Skok, Director of the Department of Innovative Linguistic Projects of the international media network, took part in the forum.
Tamara Skok, Director of the Department of Innovative Linguistic Projects at TV BRICS, held a practical workshop at the forum entitled "Linguo-country studies teleconferences of the TV BRICS International Media Network as a way to develop interest in the Russian language among foreign students". She spoke about the positive experience in holding teleconferences with foreign universities implementing programmes of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
The Forum was established in memory of the founder, first rector and president of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language Vitaly Kostomarov and is dedicated to his pedagogical and scientific heritage. It is held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. Since 2023, the forum has been held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
