Protesters gather in Iranian cities after news of harrowing Israeli crimes against Palestinian women

TEHRAN - In a powerful display of solidarity and protest, Iranian cities erupted with demonstrations following shocking reports of Israeli atrocities against Palestinian women in the besieged Gaza Strip.

On Sunday night, Iranians from diverse backgrounds flooded the streets to condemn the Israeli military's alarming crimes in Gaza. The capital city Tehran saw a surge of protesters outside the UK embassy, demanding an end to London and Washington's unwavering support for Israel.

The protests extended beyond Tehran, resonating in cities like Tabriz, Hamedan, Mashhad, and more, demonstrating the widespread outrage and concern among the Iranian populace.

Israeli forces unleashed a relentless assault on Gaza on October 7, leading to catastrophic humanitarian conditions within the enclave. The United Nations reported that over 90% of Gaza's 2.3 million residents have been displaced, with the region teetering on the brink of famine due to the severe Israeli siege and bombardment. More than 32,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have so far lost their lives.

The recent wave of protests was ignited by revelations of Israel's abhorrent act of sexually assaulting Palestinian women. Shockingly, it came to light that Israel had distributed footage of this abuse among its soldiers, further fueling the collective anger and condemnation.
