TEHRAN – Iran national team defeated India 10-0 on Friday to remain top of the 2024 IIHF Women's Asia and Oceania Cup standing table.
The competition is being held at the Gorodskoi Katok in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Team Melli had defeated the UAE 16-0 and Kyrgyzstan 6-0 in their first two matches.
Iran will play second-place the Philippines on Saturday and even a draw will be enough for the Persians to win the title.
The 2024 IIHF Women's Asia and Oceania Cup is an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
This edition of the tournament takes place from March 24 to 30 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament follows a single round robin format.
