TEHRAN, (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani appreciated the action of the Pakistan Navy in rescuing eight Iranian fishermen who suffered an accident.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson wrote on his X social account that Iran appreciates the humanitarian and timely action of the navy of the neighboring and brother country of Pakistan in rescuing eight Iranian fishermen who suffered an accident in international waters.
The ties of friendship between the two nations of Iran and Pakistan go beyond territorial borders, he said.
Pakistan Navy rescued eight Iranian fishermen after their boat caught fire, the Pakistani military said on Monday.
A Pakistan Navy ship, Yarmook, heard a distress call from the fire-stricken boat and swiftly acted in the open sea, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani military’s media wing.
The ISPR said the timely and successful rescue operation was an expression of the Pakistan Navy’s determination to ensure the safety of human life at sea.
