Iran general hails Quds Day rallies as pivotal to Palestine cause

Tehran, IRNA – Head of the Intifada and Quds Day Headquarters Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif has said that holding Quds Day rallies is key to keeping alive the cause of Palestine.

Reiterating Iran’s support for Palestine, Sharif said on Tuesday that naming Quds Day proves this support.

He added that the Quds Day rallies are the second biggest national rallies held in Iran after the nationwide rallies held on February 11 each year to commemorate the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The general also echoed remarks by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in which he asserted that the Zionist regime will be destroyed in the light of the resistance and courage of the Palestinian people who are the real owners of Palestine.

General Sharif also slammed “some traitors in the Islamic Ummah and the Arab Ummah” who helped the Zionist enemy over the past six months of war against the Gazan people.
