TEHRAN, (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called for the cessation of instrumental use of the United Nations Human Rights Council by some Western countries.
Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday that the human rights claims by some Western countries against the Islamic Republic of Iran lack any legal and moral validity.
He said that the mechanisms imposed by human rights institutions and under the pressure of a few Western countries against the Islamic Republic of Iran have no legal justification and legitimacy.
He referred to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the violation of Palestinians' rights over the last 8 decades, and the comprehensive support of the United States and the West for the occupation and apartheid of the Zionist regime.
