Humanity appears to be feeling the Palestinians living under constant bombardment. As the figures for those martyred approaches north of 20,000, those injured in the tens of thousands, and those displaced now in the hundreds of thousand, the world cannot say it did not know.
The images on our screens, our social media and even word-of-mouth accounts are heart wrenching. Resolution 377A supported by Mauritania and Egypt at the United Nations that would be a non-binding push for a ceasefire is yet another sign that the global community scrambling, not quite knowing what to do with the big bully United States of America and its attack dog, Israel.
Aid agencies are warning that more people will die of the diseases that are sure to spread like wildfire in the besieged enclave than the numbers already claimed by Israeli shelling. If the world stands back and allows this to happen, it will be a permanent stain on us all.
