Iran set to launch five satellites by end of year: minister

TEHRAN- Issa Zarepour, the Iranian Minister of Information and Communication Technology, has announced that by the end of this year, Iran will launch five satellites. 

He added that two of the satellites will be launched by the IRGC, two by the Ministry of Defense, and one from abroad.

He also pointed out that the coverage map of the entire country is being updated after 20 years.

“By using data from the Khayyam satellite, 95% of the country's coverage map has been updated,” the minister said.
