The mystery of Crimea and the Croats' hammer on Zelensky's head!

BY: Pooya Mirzaei

The strategy of "both war and peace" or "neither war nor peace" regarding the issue of Ukraine, is being prepared theoretically in the think tanks of Europe and America, and the European media also play the role of creating a platform and conveying it to the public opinion!

NOURNEWS - In recent days, the Ukrainian authorities, headed by the president of this country, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, have not been able to hide their anger from the words of the Croatian president! Kyiv has strongly criticized the recent statements of Croatian President Zoran Milanovic that Crimea will never be under the control of Ukraine again!

"Oleg Nikolenko," the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, responded to these statements by publishing an article on his Facebook page and clarified: "We consider the words of the President of Croatia, which practically doubted the territorial integrity of Ukraine, unacceptable."

However, in the same message, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine thanked the government and people of Croatia for supporting their country after the war started. Interestingly, "Euronews" network, as the main media supporter of the war in Ukraine, on European soil, has been satisfied with the normal reflection of the conflict between the Ukrainian and Croatian authorities for public opinion, without any stance or analytical attachment.

This is despite the fact that the specific orientations of Euronews towards other current issues in the field of international relations are usually interventionist and conservative! But what is behind the scenes of this story? Not long ago, "Henry Kissinger", the famous American strategist, emphasized that in order to achieve a lasting solution and peace in the war, Ukraine should give up "Crimea" and forget about membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

These words of Kissinger faced a strong reaction from Zelensky and his foreign minister "Dmitry Kolba", but the officials of the Biden administration did not even want to comment on Kissinger's positions! Now, after about a month, the issue of the official annexation of Crimea to Russian territory in a possible final peace agreement with Russia has been emphasized again, this time by the president of a European country!

Therefore; The Ukrainian authorities are afraid that Milanovitch's words are the output of the behind-the-scenes decisions of the heads of the European Union and NATO regarding the way to end the war! Another point is that Euronews, DW, Agence France-Presse and other prominent European media have only described the positions of the President of Croatia regarding the impossibility of Crimea's return to Ukraine and have not raised criticism in this regard.

The same issue shows that the Western media continues to follow the official flow of power in directing the developments related to the war in Ukraine. To be more precise; The strategy of "both war and peace" or "neither war nor peace" regarding the issue of Ukraine, is being prepared theoretically in the think tanks of Europe and America, and the European media also play the role of creating a platform and conveying it to the public opinion!

The final point, however, comes back to Zelensky's feeling of fear regarding the West's secret and forced deal with Russia over Ukraine! During his trip to America, Zelensky made a great effort to understand the nature of the positions proposed by Kissinger regarding the war in Ukraine and simultaneously proposing issues such as the impossibility of his country's membership in NATO, but faced with vague and unclear answers from Biden and his companions!

Now the situation has become more complicated for Zelenskiy, we must not forget that Croatia is both a member of the European Union and a member of NATO, and the repetition of Kissinger's positions by the Croats definitely cannot have been done without coordination with the security and political leaders of Europe.

In this equation, whatever happens will certainly be to the detriment of Zelensky, an actor who in the not-so-distant past thought that absolute play on the West's gameboard would guarantee his country's membership in NATO, the European Union, as well as the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but apparently he is gradually realizing the differences between the movie screen and the political arena!
