Tehran, IRNA – A Russian state ship-constructing company has underlined the need for further cooperation with Iran on the construction of giant ships.
The company plans to cooperate with Iranian, Brazilian and Indian ship-constructing companies for making big vessels, Alexander Babich, an official with the Russian state ship-constructing company was quoted as saying by Tass news agency.
He referred to increasing need of the market for freight ships and tankers, adding that his county is after cooperating with other ship-constructing countries across the world, including those in Iran, Brazil and India.
During a recent visit to Saint Petersburg by Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Alireza Peimanpak, who also heads the country’s Trade Promotion Organization, the two countries agreed for a joint production of ships.
