As the International Quds Day was held across Iranian cities with the glorious participation of people on Friday, Western news agencies and outlets covered different aspects of the event.
“Demonstrators chanted the death to Israel, and death to America, slogans that have become tradition in mass rallies in Iran since its revolution. Demonstrators also set fire to American, British, and Israeli flags,” according to The Washington Post.
Reuters also covered the speech of Iran's Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami on Friday, who said Israel was creating conditions for its own destruction with its "evil actions".
"Stop your vicious deeds. You know well that we are people of action and reaction. Our responses are painful. You create conditions for your own destruction. We will not leave you alone. Wait [for us]," Salami said during Quds Day in Tehran
AP reflected the participation of high-ranking Iranian officials among the crowds, including President Ebrahim Raisi and the powerful Guard commander, Gen. Mohammad Salami.
