Syrian Ambassador hails Iran's most important role in regional, world policies

Tehran, IRNA- The Syrian ambassador in Tehran Shafiq Dayoub said Iran has become the most important player in regional and world policies and the creator of the current world order.

Speaking in the international seminar of "Imam and the contemporary world" held in Imam Khomeini's tomb on Thursday, Dayoub said Iran’s Islamic Republic led by the late Imam, is one of the most important changes in the region and in the world in the second half of the twentieth century.

The results of this revolution have gone beyond the borders of the Islamic Republic.

He added today, the reflection of the Islamic Revolution can be seen well in the region, and the leadership of Imam Khomeini and the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution has made Iran a major player in the important policies of the region and the world as well as the current world order.

He considered the establishment of a strong relationship between Syria and the Islamic Republic as one of the most important results of the Islamic Revolution, stating: The relationship between the Islamic Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic is a strategic relationship and an appropriate pattern for cooperation between countries based on respect for common interests and values.

Dayoub added today, many enemies have targeted these relations formed from the first days of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and try to destabilize this strong path by creating doubts.

He stressed that the friendship between Iran and Syria has created new equations of power in the world that cannot be ignored, the most important of which can be seen in creating an axis of resistance.

He noted that he is optimistic about the future of Syria, the Islamic Republic and the relations between the two countries and the axis of resistance, and we will continue this friendship.
