The goals that Imam Khomeini (may his honorable secret be sanctified) carried and stressed the need to implement them are the same goals sought by the Holy Qur’an; Because the practical experience of this great man proved his absolute faith in this Holy Book, his accurate knowledge of its rulings, and his strong adherence to its directives. Hence, one of the most important goals that the Imam believed in and sought to implement were:
1- Spreading Islam and clarifying its rulings.
Imam Khomeini (may God be pleased with him) made spreading Islam and explaining its rulings a primary goal of the Islamic revolution, whether in the Iranian social milieu or in other societies, because of his complete belief that the first step to effecting any change in a person’s life is based on his convictions and ideas. Islam includes everything that is required by the human, intellectual, spiritual and material dimensions on the one hand, and its rulings are compatible with the requirements of common sense, and a mature mind on the other hand. 4- Supporting the Islamic awakening and
supporting the liberation movements:
Among the goals that Imam Khomeini (may his honor be sanctified) carried and obligated the Islamic state to adopt, is to support the Islamic awakening and support the liberation movements in the world, materially and morally.
5- Preserving Islamic unity:
One of the main goals emphasized by the imam is the issue of Islamic unity and the need to preserve it, because it represents the mainstay for achieving the pride of Muslims and imposing their prestige, and the rock on which all the conspiracies of the enemies are crumbled and all their plans aimed at tearing Muslims are scattered by its presence. And sow division among them.
6- Renouncing sectarianism and religious
fanaticism.
Proceeding from the principle of preserving unity among Muslims, Imam Khomeini emphasized the necessity of rejecting sectarianism and religious fanaticism, because it leads to the weakening of Muslims on the one hand and enables enemies to influence their circles and dominate their capabilities on the other hand.
7: Establishing and maintaining the Islamic
state
One of the most important goals of the Imam - may his honorable secret be sanctified - is the establishment of the Islamic government, and the need to maintain it by all legitimate means, because of his belief that the Islamic thesis, which included all that human life requires, material and moral, needs a practical embodiment to consolidate this conviction among the general people, Muslims and non-Muslims. Muslims, because man in general is affected by sensory issues more than he interacts with mental issues, and accordingly he needs a practical model through which the values of Islam and its lofty goals are embodied in establishing justice, securing freedoms, observing rights, providing a decent life and coexistence, and achieving security and welfare for the community.
This Islamic model was not embodied during Islamic history except in limited periods of time, which were most evident in the government of the Noble Messenger and the government of Ali - they have thousands of salutations and praise. because they believe that it constitutes a real threat to their interests and personal contradictions.
Therefore, as soon as the Islamic regime was established in Iran, all the forces of global arrogance mobilized to confront it and strive to thwart it by all available means, in order to suggest to Muslims and others that the Islamic regime is incapable of managing people’s affairs and securing their life requirements, but God the Honorable has frustrated their efforts and made all their schemes fail (and is plotting against you). These are the most important goals that the late Imam Khomeini carried, and he continued to adhere to, the guardian of the Muslims, His Eminence Sayyid Khamenei (may his honorable shadow last). of it or practical.
