Democrats after removing Trump from power: US politician

New York, Feb 19, IRNA – Democrats will use the investigation about US President Donald Trump's corruption as much as they can remove him from office or to defeat him in the 2020 elections, a former advisor to the Republican Party told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Mueller has not found any strong evidence against Trump; that’s more like a media brawl, said James George Jatras on Tuesday about Robert Mueller's investigations and their effect on Trump's conditions.

On May 17, 2017, Mueller was appointed special counsel to investigate the scope of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Jatres said the investigators want to find anything in his business activities, etc. to use against the US president.

Jatres also said that it is very unlikely that the Democrats will get their hands on anything in the four investigations being done on Trump.

He added that it is unlikely that they can find 'anything improper.'

'But they will dig until they can find something they feel they can use.'

Jatres also said that both the Democrats and the Republicans, except for a few, are against improvement of ties with Russia. They think that good relations with Russia will harm US' world domination over the world.

'Russia was a satellite of the Unites States under [former Russian President Boris] Yeltsin, but [Vladimir] Putin refuses to be a satellite ….

'China, Iran, Venezuela, any country that refuses to be a satellite of the United States is marked for destruction.'

Answering a question if the investigations may point a finger at Trump's family, he said that according to some rumors, Mueller's investigation is coming to a close and 'it is entirely possible that he would do so.'

Obviously the so-called infamous Trump tower meeting with Russians which was really about sanctions and things like that; it is possible that he would indict some body for that, he said.

He added that Mueller's assignment is only one and that is to 'get Trump,' anyway he can.

However, if there is any report on the case, most probably it will be claimed that there are 'confidential intelligence matters that cannot be disclosed.'

Regarding the split that has been seen in the Democrats, he said that Democratic Party is very divided; one socialist side led by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Cortez, and the Wall Street side, led by Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden.

'They are likely to go into the elections very divided. Trump, being a populist with appeal to working class voters, is the only Republican who can beat them in 2020; they know that and they wanna make sure that he is not the candidate.'
