40 Years of Washington’s Never Ending Frustration

In Iran, millions marched last Monday throughout the country to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that delivered the nation from the yoke of the British-installed and American-backed Pahlavi potentate.

Indeed, it is a matter of profound joy for the Iranian people to take the Islamic Republic into its 41st glorious year after thwarting all sorts of terrorist plots of their archenemy, the US, including Saddam’s 8-year Iraqi war and the various economic sanctions that have failed to stop Iran’s progress in vital scientific fields, such as nuclear energy, aerospace, missile technology, and cyberspace, in addition to its growing influence in the region and beyond, where it is Tehran and not London or Washington towards which the governments and people look.

The Islamic Revolution definitely changed global equations and like the burst of a supernova it continues its enlightening task to the horror of the rootless tyrannical and terrorist regimes which do not represent the people they rule, since it is to Britain and the US that they owe their existence.

This is the reason for the loss of sleep for the quixotic US president, Donald Trump, who horrified at the popular appeal of the Islamic system of government both in Iran and throughout the region, made a mockery of himself by raving and ranting: Forty years of tyranny; 40 years of oppression …

The US media also followed suit. Instead of opening eyes to the realities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it blindly blurted: 40 of years of economic failure; 40 years of retrogression…

Others in the service of the Great Satan expressed their disappointment at the huge rallies in Iran in support of the Islamic Revolution, saying the Iranian people have lost their senses.

Imagine, an entire nation of 80-million-plus people seems to have lost its senses and is celebrating four decades of backwardness and loss of liberties, while the supposedly sensible Americans and their wisecrack clients are appealing in earnest to the people of Iran to put on Washington’s yoke on their necks – as the Shah had done, and as the Saudis, the Emiratis and the others do – instead of inspiring the oppressed people of Palestine, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Arabia, and elsewhere to reclaim their denied rights!

It is obvious frustration writ large on the face of the US, which has failed to dent the resolve of the Iranian Muslim masses despite forty years of non-stop plots, propaganda, sanctions and aggressions. 

It is also clear that the US cannot do a damn thing against Iran and the Iranian people, who have gone from strength to strength over the past four decades to turn the country into a power to reckon with, and are determined to defeat terrorism in all its devilish forms. 

In other words, the prospects of West Asia without Israel is causing nightmares in Washington, where the harebrained regime still seems oblivious to the fast approaching reality of the world without the US. 

The Islamic Revolution will, Insha Allah (God Willing) continue to gather momentum until the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AS) and establishment of the global government of peace, prosperity, and justice, while endless frustration seems to be the lot of the evil US, until it eventually vanishes from the surface of the earth to the delight of humanity.
