Today, Shawwal 8 is a day of profound grief for anyone with a grain of Islamic faith. It is the doleful day on which exactly a century ago in 1345 AH ungodly hordes desecrated and destroyed in holy Medina the Sacred Jannat al-Baqie Cemetery, which Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) used to visit to salute his departed kin and companions.
The terrorists intended to demolish the Prophet’s Mosque and Shrine as well, but some crafty crooks among their own ranks who feared the united wrath of the Islamic Ummah in such a case, stopped them from the sacrilege.
The blasphemers thought that through such devilish acts they would erase memories from minds of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS), Imam Zain al-Abedin (AS), Imam Muhammad al-Baqer (AS) and Imam Ja’far as-Sadeq (AS), little realizing that those chosen by God are always alive in the hearts of the faithful.
May God damn the seditionists who terrorize Muslim lands and shed torrents of blood in the interests of their masters, the Zionists and the neo- Crusaders in London and Washington, as is evident in Yemen, where the Americans brutally bomb the innocent people and destroy residential quarters in support of the Gaza genocide!
In view of these facts, are the Saudis ready to give diplomacy a chance to ensure the peace and progress of the region, as well as the entire Muslim World, where there is no need for any foreign forces?
A ‘Muhammadan Accord’ is the only viable solution to the problems of the Muslim World, including the unwarranted American war in Yemen, the issue of takfiri terrorism, and the Zionist Usurpation of Palestine and Bayt al-Moqaddas that require the urgent healing of a wound in the heart of the Islamic world.
The ignominy of the so-called ‘Abraham Accord’ through which the thug Donald Trump forced some Persian Gulf Arab states to set up unnatural ties with the illegal Zionist entity to tighten its hold on Islam’s former qibla, the al-Aqsa Mosque, it is time Muslim states strove to establish the ‘Muhammadan Accord’, so as to first rebuild the sacred Baqie Cemetery.
Riyadh should understand that the first and foremost issue is restoring Jannat al-Baqie to its former glory for pilgrims from all over the world.
It is an undeniable fact that as long as this open wound that lies opposite the Prophet’s shrine is not healed, Islamic solidarity and the goal of world Muslims to liberate al-Aqsa and Palestine will remain nothing more than a dream.
A ‘Muhammadan Accord’ warrants adherence to the Sunnah and Seerah (practice and behaviour) of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger, and as Muslims, whatever schools of jurisprudence they follow, believe, it was the habit of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) to visit the Baqie Cemetery and salute the graves with the following words:
“Peace upon you, O abode of the faithful! God Willing, we will soon join you. O Allah, forgive the fellows of al-Baqie.”
Baqie is that sanctified graveyard, where repose in peace the elite of Islam, including some prominent companions of the Prophet, his aunts, his uncle, and the women he married during the last ten years of his life after the passing away of his wife, Hazrat Khadija (SA), in order to break the customs of Jahiliyya.
Above all, it is the resting place of some prominent members of his Immaculate Progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, regarding whose pristine purity, God Almighty says in the holy Qur’an (33:33):
“Indeed Allah desires to keep away all impurity from you, O People of the Household (Ahl al-Bayt), and preserve you thoroughly purified.”
Thus, for the sake of Islamic unity, it is vital to rectify this wrong of recent history. If Saudi Arabia lacks funds and resources to rebuild Baqie, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to do so. We should also restore to former glory the the Jannat al-Mo’alla in Mecca, where rest in peace the Prophet’s loyal wife of 25 long years, Hazrat Khadija (SA), his infant son Qasim (AS), his uncle and guardian Abu Taleb (AS) and his grandfather, Abdul-Muttaleb (AS).
Muslims from all over the world will surely welcome this move and will contribute to the rebuilding of other blessed Islamic spots in the two holy cities that the terrorists destroyed, such as the tomb of the Prophet’s uncle, the Martyr Hamza in Ohad.
