40th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution

The festivities marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution are a crushing response to the plots of the enemies of this revolution, especially the US and the Zionist regime. Some of the famous American officials had announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran will face serious challenges in the 40th anniversary of the revolution and it will collapse.
Ever since the victory of the Islamic Revolution and foundation of the Islamic Republic in Iran, the United States has ceaselessly tried to overthrow the Islamic Republic. The dictatorial Pahlavi regime was absolutely dependent on the US, and Iran was considered one of the pillars of "Twin Pillars" doctrine of Washington in West Asia. Also known as "Nixon Doctrine" or "Guam Doctrine", this doctrine made it clear that Iran was a lever and tool of the US in West Asia.
According to the US strategy for West Asia, the most advanced weapons and military equipment were given to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. More than 40,000 American advisors were in Iran. Indeed, they were ruling the country as they were completely dominant over the army. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi had been installed by the British and fully backed by the Americans. The US ambassador in Tehran was close to Shah more than any other person and would consult him in any important decision. The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran dealt a tremendous blow to the US expansionist policies in the region. Hence, the United States started supporting all groups and currents which opposed the revolution. The US administration resorted to economic sanctions, helped terrorists who killed innocent people, supported separatist currents, and eventually, provoked Saddam to invade Iran and directly fight with Iran. Finally, the United States militarily interfered in the war to prevent Saddam's collapse. All these efforts were made with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic. These measures further strengthened the Islamic Republic establishment and increased the love of people toward their leaders.
During the past 40 years, 36 elections have been held in Iran with massive turnout of the people. Despite its repeated failures in its measures against the Islamic Republic, the United States still continues Iranophobic actions and Islamophobia in the region and beyond. The Islamic Republic has become so powerful that it has turned into the most effective country with regard to security and stability in the region of West Asia. For the past 8 years, the Islamic Republic has played a leading role for fighting terrorism and terrorist groups, especially Daesh which was created and sponsored by the US, Saudi Arabia and some of the regional and trans-regional countries. Meanwhile, the US administration tried to intensify sanctions and psychological war, to cause discontent among the Iranian people. But, last year the Iranian people took to the streets on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and vociferously chanted the lofty mottos of the revolution in support of the Islamic Republic and the Islamic Revolution. The glorious demonstrations of the people throughout the country on the 40th victory anniversary of the revolution, once again proved the failure of the enemies and ill-wishers and, according to Ayatollah Khamenei, gave the message to world people that the Islamic Revolution is in the beginning of its way and there is still a long way ahead for the realization of the revolutionary ideals in upcoming years.
US President Donald Trump's coming to power opened a new chapter of US hostilities against the Islamic Republic. He went as far as unilaterally withdrawing from the nuclear deal. The Islamic Republic of Iran, accepted certain restrictions on its peaceful nuclear program to thwart the policies of the Zionist regime which seeks to demonize this peaceful program. For their part, the 5+1 countries, including the US, accepted a series of obligations such as lifting all the illegal sanctions imposed on Iran. The nuclear deal was approved by the UNSC. But Trump exited the deal in May 2018 claiming that it was the worst deal in US history. The US president reinstated all economic sanctions and threatened foreign companies dealing with Iran with secondary sanctions. Trump's action was not followed by the European members of 5+1. France, Britain and Germany announced that they will try to find a financial mechanism to circumvent the US secondary sanctions. The Trump administration was still hopeful of toppling the Islamic Republic. Trump's National Security Advisor, John Bolton, expressed hope that Iran will not see the 40thanniversary of its revolution!!! Trump and his advisors were indulged in daydreaming and wishful thinking that they can put the people against the Islamic establishment via reinstating of economic sanctions and psychological operations.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei told a gathering of families of martyrs, "The aim of the US and the enemies of Iran, through sanctions and anti-security measures, was to cause rifts, difference and conflict among groups; and to take the people to the streets; and they had even dubbed it as 'hot summer'. But, to the chagrin of the enemies, this year's summer was one of the best summers."
The massive demonstrations of the Iranian nation on the anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution once again proved that they are committed to the ideals of the revolution, the path of Imam Khomeini and the guidelines of Ayatollah Khamenei. The Islamic Revolution changed the fate of Iran and the course of history for good. It is strongly going to achieve the lofty goals that had been outlined by Imam Khomeini.
