Implementing the Syrian Scenario in Yemen; a Strategy Doomed to Defeat for US & Zionist Regime

Strategic Council Online - Opinion: Monitoring the political, military, and security circles of the Zionist regime and its military movements shows that this regime, with the support and cooperation of the US government, is seeking to implement the "Syrian scenario" in Yemen.

Hamid Khoshayand – Regional Affairs Expert

Netanyahu warned in statements last Wednesday (December 22) that “Israel will act against the Houthi rebels in Yemen with the same severity it acted against other arms of Iran in the region. “Israeli Minister of War Yisrael Katz” also threatened the leaders of Ansar Allah with assassination and announced that “we will target the Houthis with severe attacks.”

The Israel Radio and Television Organization (KAN) also reported, citing a high-ranking Zionist official, that “a more painful signal must be sent to the Houthi forces.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli military intelligence department is also studying and monitoring Yemeni military targets in preparation for targeting them. The Israeli military intelligence recently launched courses to teach Yemeni dialect and culture to prepare security elements for work in the new Yemeni-specific department.

The US and the Israeli regime are pursuing two categories of “tactical” and short-term goals from their military focus on Yemen, which are the main steps to achieving “strategic” and long-term goals: destroying Yemen’s military, energy, service and sensitive infrastructure, and preventing continued missile operations in the Red Sea and the occupied territories, which are two tactical and operational goals that should ultimately lead to the implementation of the Syria scenario and “creating fundamental political changes and destroying Ansar Allah” as a strategic and long-term goal. Carrying out military attacks from outside and creating conflict and chaos from within are auxiliary mechanisms for realizing the aforementioned scenario.

Although under no circumstances should we ignore the conspiracies of the US and the Israeli regime in the region, especially against the Resistance, and even in circumstances where the situation appears normal, we should be ready to “counter” any adventurism of the Zionist regime and the US government, there are significant reasons that implement the Syrian scenario in Yemen “certain failure”:

One; The “Resistance” in Yemen is deeper and more widespread. The entire Yemeni nation and public opinion unanimously support Ansar Allah’s anti-American and anti-Zionist actions. The government, the armed forces, the people, and various social classes commit themselves to resisting foreign hostile countries and forces.

In the past ten years of an asymmetric battle, the resolute defense of the armed forces and the people of Yemen is a significant “experience” that shows that there is no deterrent power against the Yemeni resistance and that any encroachment on Yemen is doomed to failure.

Two; the Yemeni resistance does not have political, field, etc. “considerations” to confront the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime and the United States in the region and acts in this area without any “considerations” or “conservatism.”

In the past 15 months, Ansar Allah has fired more than 1,100 missiles and drones against the Zionist regime. He has targeted at least 200 ships associated with the Zionist regime, the United States, and the United Kingdom. During this period, 11 American MQ9 drones and an F-18 fighter jet have also been destroyed by Ansar Allah, which is an unprecedented action in all the wars different countries have had with the United States. Ansar Allah is now chasing US oil carriers with their drones and missiles and attacking the center of the Zionist regime from a distance of 2,000 kilometers.

In just the past few days, Ansar Allah has fired “hypersonic” missiles deep into Tel Aviv, sending more than 2 million settlers fleeing to shelters for several consecutive days. This is while in Syria, not a single shot has been fired against the Zionist regime in the occupied Golan Heights in the past few decades.

Three; The Yemeni resistance has powerful military and intelligence facilities and infrastructure, and easy and “unhindered” access to the US naval fleet, economic centers and interests, and regional military bases. The recent operation by Ansar Allah of Yemen with hypersonic missiles against the Zionist regime, as well as the attack on the US aircraft carrier, has practically added to the doubts and ambiguities of the prospect of any military attack and provocation by Ansar Allah in the internal circles of this regime and the US.

Four; The lack of a database is another critical challenge the Zionist regime faces in Yemen. The Israeli army and security agencies believe that confronting the Yemenis is a complex challenge due to the “complexity of gathering security information” in Yemen, and this has made it difficult to achieve the goal.

The difference between Ansar Allah Yemen and other resistance elements in the region, including the Hezbollah, Palestinian, and even Iraqi resistance groups, is that due to geographical distance, a hidden and complex communication network, and other factors, the Israeli regime does not have much information about Yemeni commanders and strategic centers. They rely more on information provided by the United States, making the success level in implementing any scenario difficult.

In addition, the region’s countries do not support the implementation of the Syrian scenario in Yemen. Yemen has certain “red lines” for itself, and if any country in the region violates these lines, it will face a harsh response. Yemenis have no qualms about setting fire to the oil wells of Arab countries on the Persian Gulf for supporting the anti-Yemeni actions of the US and the Zionist regime.

Yemen is not Gaza, Lebanon, or Syria. Attacking Yemen and trying to destroy Ansar Allah is a repetition of the failed path that the Ahl al-Bashir previously followed for 9 years.

The Saudi-led coalition has stepped into it with the support of the US and the Zionist regime. What the Zionist regime and the US are seeking to implement in Yemen has been implemented before and many times more powerfully, without achieving any results. Its only result has been to “strengthen” the depth and scope of Ansar Allah’s power and role. Therefore, “intensifying insecurity” in the occupied territories and “threat to US economic interests” and military centers in the region will be the least “consequence” of the attempt to carry out the Syrian scenario in Yemen.
