As reported by Qods News Agency (Qodsna) the opening ceremony of 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference was convened today morning (24th November 2018) in Tehran with the presence of 350 foreign guests from 100 countries.
According to the report the conference is due to last for 3 days, the conference which is held annually, this year is convened with a slogan of tribute to Quds as “Quds, Axis of Unity Among Ummah”.
The conference started by a speech delivered by Iranian President Hassan Rohani.
Ayatollah Araki Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought welcomed the guests, the conference is then scheduled for the speeches of some prominent Shia Clerics such as Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and Ayatollah Noori Hamedani.

Reading the message of Ismail Haniya, head of the political office of the Hamas movement, speeches by former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Vice-President of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, Mohammed al-Hendi, Deputy General Secretary of the Palestine Islamic Jihad, Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmed Badr al-Din Hassoun, Zahra Mostafavi, Secretary-General of the Women's Organization of the Islamic Republic, and Secretary-General of the Society for the Defense of Palestinian Nation, are scheduled for the first day of the Islamic Unity Conference.

The closing ceremony will be convened with the speech of Ali Larijani Iranian Parliament Speaker.
Following the announcement of the unity week by the Islamic Republic of Iran, a decision was made to hold an Islamic Unity Conference.
The conference has ten committees in which the Palestinian committees has three sub-groups; the resistance and the right to return, the role of Palestine and al-Quds in the Islamic civilization, and the struggle against the compromise and the Deal of Century.
The conference guests are prominent personalities, ministers of Islamic countries, scholars and Muftis, university professors and other scientific and cultural associations both inside and outside the country.
Hundreds of thinkers, scholars participated in the conference and presented articles, speeches and expressions of their views, and this conference played a decisive role in increasing the unity and sympathy among Muslims and scholars.
