Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah, Secretary-General of Lebanon’s legendary anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah last Wednesday warned that the illegal US sanctions and measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Resistance Front in the region “will not remain without a response,” as he dismissed reports about possible sanctions against Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, and other Hezbollah allies as “mere intimidation.”

In a televised speech, marking the Birthday of the Standard-Bearer of the Immortal Epic of Karbala, Hazrat Abu’l-Fazl al-Abbas (AS), which marked as “Day of the Disabled War Veterans”, Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah said: “Our choices are open but we will act calmly, with a cool head and at the right time, in all battlefields and arenas.”
He made it clear: “It is our natural right and ethical, religious and humanitarian duty to confront all those who might threaten our country, resistance and achievements through their measures.”
He emphasized that the security and peace “we are enjoying were made by our men, women, detainees and wounded, and these terrorists do not have the right to show that they are the ones who gave us stability.”
The Hezbollah Secretary-General noting that “the resistance camp possesses a lot of strength cards and elements,” hinted that the US state terrorism may not “remain without a response.”
He added: “So far, we are settling for condemnation, patience and austerity in the face of sanctions and terror lists, but this does not mean that we do not have essential tools of strength, and I'm speaking on behalf of the entire Resistance Front and not only Hezbollah.”
He considered that the US is humiliating an entire nation for the sake of terrorist Israel and terrorist groups which it’s providing all facilities to.
Commenting on the Donald Trump regime’s extra-territorial and illegal labelling as a ‘terrorist’ group of Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which is at the forefront of the struggle in the region against the most macabre and murderous terrorists outfits, such as “Daesh” and “an-Nusra” that are backed by the US, Saudi Arabia, and the illegal Zionist regime, Nasrollah said the IRGC are in a “central position” in the region's equations.
“They are the most influential and supportive group,” he said, adding: “Blacklisting the IRGC is an evidence that it is strong and not weak and this is an expected move by the Great Satan.”
Nasrollah expressed his solidarity and support to Iranian people who have been plagued by floods which hit Iranian areas. He said that Trump, who is bragging about humanity, is blocking aid for the Iranians suffering from the floods, expressing gratitude to all humanitarian efforts to collect aid to flood victims in Iran.
Addressing the Lebanese people, Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah said: “When you hear Trump or any Zionist official talking, recall and remember the cities, villages and towns that have been destroyed by US and Israeli interference, that have been devastated by US conspiracies and money from the Persian Gulf reactionary regimes, remember the millions of refugees, displaced and afflicted.”
He added: “The interest of the Lebanese people lies in cooperation and communication and remaining alert over the US incitement which has destroyed the region around us.”
Nasrollah also noted that media reports about placing Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and other Hezbollah allies on US sanction lists are “mere intimidation.”
He said: “There is not a single indication about an intention to place Speaker Nabih Berri and other Hezbollah allies on the terror list and we sense that unfortunately there are certain Lebanese in Washington who are working in this direction, but so far this remains an intimidation campaign. When the matter reaches our allies, this means that they are targeting all our people.”
Referring to the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's recent visit to Lebanon and his gangster-like remarks against Hezbollah, he said: “In the face of the new developments and after Pompeo's visit to Lebanon, we believe that the provocative US policy will continue, although this will not yield any result as was obvious by the failure of Pompeo’s visit.”
Nasrollah drew attention to Pompeo’s bragging that he will not remain silent over Hizbullah's rise in Lebanon and he is seeking to scare and incite the Lebanese.”
Slamming Pompeo's visit, he said: “Killers do not have the right to come to Lebanon and take credit for stability and security. If the enemy does not dare to attack, it is because of our resilience and steadfastness, not because of your red lines.”
As for Lebanese concerns that Trump's decision on the Golan Heights might affect the status of the Shebaa Farms and the Kfarshouba Hills, Nasrallah said: “Our territorial border is linked to our national will and not to Trump's decision.”
Cautioning the Lebanese, he added: “Benjamin Netanyahu will likely form a new right-wing Zionist regime and we are before a new stage of unprecedented cooperation between the US and Israel, and we are before a major juncture related to our territorial border.”
He stressed: “We stress the importance of the current spirit of cooperation among the political forces in addressing the current junctures. We must stress the importance of this spirit regardless of any tensions here or there.”
“America is the source of terrorism and we are standing in the face of its terrorism,” he emphasized.
Nasrollah went on to say “We were killed and wounded and massacres were committed in our villages and cities through Israel's aggression and the US support, weapons and cover. Our peace, security and achievements were made by our people, martyrs and wounded.”
He added: “The achievements that have been made in Lebanon are not from the blessings of America.”
Regarding the war on Yemen, His Eminence pointed out that four years have passed on the war and no one sees that the unarmed and oppressed people who are still steadfast and growing stronger are still fighting armies, pointing out that the war on Yemen is an American-Saudi-British-Israeli aggression.
Seyyed Nasrollah said that had Mohamed bin Salman won in Yemen war, he would have forced the Palestinians to sign on the so-called deal of the century, stressing that Yemeni’s steadfastness throughout these years have protected the Palestinians.
“What would have happened to Persian Gulf regimes had the authoritarian Bin Salman won the war on Yemen?” he wondered, “he would have been presented as the great historical leader and victory will be presented in a misleading way.”
The Hezbollah leader indicated that there was an American insistence by Trump personally to continue the war on Yemen, pointing that the steadfastness of the Yemeni people protects the Palestinian cause and Palestine and every occupied Arab land.
He said there was no place for neutrality in the battle of truth and in defending the oppressed.
During his speech, Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah referred to the martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Baqer as-Sadr and his equally learned sister, Bint al-Huda, in April 1980 by Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad, and hailed the Ayatollah’s enormous intellectual achievements.
