Iran’s Parliament Speaker Invited to Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior Palestinian official invited Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to visit the Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian parliamentary delegation, led by Mahmoud al-Zahar, held a meeting with Iran’s parliament speaker in Tehran on Saturday.
In the meeting, Zahar, the co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in Gaza, praised Iran for supporting Palestine.
He also officially invited Larijani to pay a visit to the Gaza Strip.
Zahar then lauded Iran’s opposition to the resolutions that the US proposes against Palestine in the United Nations.
For his part, Larijani denounced the Zionist regime of Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians, stressing the need for efforts to publicize such crimes and support the cause of Palestine.
He also expressed the hope that the regional and international nations would boost support for Palestine’s resistance.
In comments in November, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said while some rulers of Muslim countries have sided with the US in the criminal moves against Palestine and Yemen, the Palestinian and Yemeni nations will definitely emerge victorious and the US and its followers will suffer defeats.
Ayatollah Khamenei also noted that Palestine will win victory on the basis of divine promises, saying the Zionist regime of Israel has increasingly lost its power, which has been obvious in the length of the wars that Israelis have launched against Hezbollah and Palestine in recent years.

Iran’s Velayati: Axis of Resistance Growing Steadily

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The axis of anti-Israeli resistance

is firmly developing, Ali Akbar Velayati, an international adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, describing it as a sign of power of Islam.

Iran’s Velayati: Axis of Resistance Growing Steadily
“The only way of survival in the face of the excessive demands and plots of
Zionists and enemies is resistance and fortitude, and what is clear is that the
axis of resistance is developing and getting stronger every day,” Velayati
said in a meeting with Mahmoud al-Zahar, the co-founder of Hamas and a
member of the Hamas leadership in Gaza, held in Tehran on Saturday.
The Iranian official noted that the Zionists and their allies should learn a lesson
from the victories gained by the Palestinian resistance and do not think of
aggression.
Velayati also noted that the axis of resistance’s victories with its limited
equipment reveals the power of Islam.
He finally reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting Palestine, which he
described as the Islamic world’s major issue.
For his part, Zahar expressed gratitude to Iran for supporting the Palestinian
nation, saying the Islamic awakening movement is growing and will
lead to resistance’s ultimate victory.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has
already announced that Palestine will win victory on the basis of divine
promises, saying the Zionist regime of Israel has increasingly lost its power,
which has been obvious in the length of the wars that Israelis have launched
against Hezbollah and Palestine in recent years.

Iran’s FM Urges Muslim Unity in Support of Palestine

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister

Mohammad Javad Zarif called on the Muslim

nations to set aside difference when it comes

to supporting Palestine.

A delegation of the Hamas faction in the Palestinian parliament, headed by
Mahmoud al-Zahar, held a meeting with Iran’s foreign minister in Tehran on
Sunday to discuss the latest developments concerning Palestine.
In the meeting, Zarif said the Muslim countries, despite some differences,
should unite on the issue of supporting Palestine in order to prevent abuses.
“Unfortunately, efforts to counter the Resistance movement are made from
inside the Muslim world today. These pressures are also placed on all countries
and Muslim movements,” the Foreign Ministry’s website quoted him as saying.
“Supporting Palestine is a basic policy of the Islamic Republic,” Zarif
added, expressing hope that some regional governments that have pinned their
hopes on the support of the Zionists and the US would return to the Muslim world
and realize that Zionists are no real friend or partner for anybody.
Al-Zahar, in turn, said Iran provides Palestine with “true support”, expressing hope
the resistance of the Palestinian people and the support of the Muslim world
would bring an end to the Zionist project.
Pointing to Mahmoud Abbas’ announcement of dissolution of the
Palestinian parliament, al-Zahar said the parliament has been elected legally
and should continue its work until the end of its tenure.
“According to the Palestinian Constitution, the parliament cannot be dissolved
under any circumstances, even in an emergency situation, and its tenure should
end,” he said.
The Iranian foreign minister expressed regret over the announcement, saying
the move by Abbas is against democratic principles and would serve the
Zionists’ interests.
Zarif also stressed the need for the unity of the Palestinian nation to support
the resistance axis.
