End to Gaza Genocide Depends on Determined Disavowal of Disbelievers

By: Kayhan Int’l

The Hajj has ended following the Eid al-Adha climax in Mecca, and this year’s 20-million pilgrims have started the journey back home – many of them via Medina to pay respects at the shrine of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) along with devotional visits to the Baqie Cemetery to salute the Four Infallible Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt.
The resolve of the pilgrims along with that of the rest of the Ummah, however, remains strong for implementing the Hajj’s message of universal brotherhood, peace, harmony, and disavowal of disbelievers, especially of the illegal Zionist entity and its godfather the terroristic US.
The blood of the people of Gaza cries for justice, and it is only the unity of the Ummah and of conscientious people all over the world that will redress their plight.
The organized massacre since October 8 last year, with a constant supply of lethal weapons from the American regime, has wiped out entire families from amongst the 120,000 casualties so far (over 37 killed and more than 80,000 maimed).
This is happening despite the almost unanimous denunciations by the UN of the Gaza genocide, the verdict for ceasefire issued by the ICJ (International Court of Justice) and the warrant for arrest of the prime war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu by the ICC (International Criminal Court).
The purpose of the Abrahamic Hajj and its message transcending all ethnic, lingual, class, political, and geographical barriers are for all humanity in order to promote piety, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence by confronting satanic instincts in some segments of mankind – oppression, occupation, exploitation, corruption, and the lust for bloodshed and pleasures of the flesh.
This was the gist of the address of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, to the Hajj pilgrims and consequently to the Ummah and the whole world, by emphasizing the issue of disavowal of disbelievers as “more significant than ever before.”
He added: “The tragedies in Gaza, which are unparalleled in our contemporary history, along with the audacity of the ruthless Zionist entity, which is the embodiment of cruelty and villainy, and of course the declining state of Zionism, leave no room for any consideration or tolerance by any individual, party, government or Muslim denomination.”
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei underlined that this year’s disavowal of disbelievers “must continue beyond the time and place of Hajj to all Muslim countries and cities worldwide. It must continue beyond just the Hajj pilgrims and be extended to the general populace.”
His words are indeed food for our thoughts. This is clear by proper reflection on his latest expressions in this regard, such as:
“This renunciation of the Zionist entity and its supporters, in particular the regime of the United States of America, must be demonstrated in the words and actions of (world) nations and governments, and it must impede the actions of the murderers.”
Therefore, the free world should not just mobilize all efforts and all resources for ending the current holocaust of the Palestinian people in Gaza, but also to promote the concept of universal brotherhood, in order to ensure that no genocide should ever occur anywhere in any part of the globe.
