TEHRAN, (MNA) – The recent attack on the American base was the result of Washington's all-out support for the Zionist regime in the Gaza war and due to the insecurity in the region.
Three American servicemen were killed and 34 others were injured in a drone attack on an American military base near the Syria-Jordan border on Sunday night.
US President Joe Biden described the attack as "very painful and sad" and claimed that the attack was carried out by Iranian-backed forces.
He also claimed that "we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing.”
This comes as Iran has officially rejected any involvement in this attack.
What messages does this attack have for the United States?
Attack on American positions outcome of Gaza war
During the past four months since the start of the Israeli regime war against Palestine, the United States has fully and openly supported the Zionist regime.
During this time, all UN Security Council resolutions calling for an end to the Gaza war were vetoed by the United States.
And the two resolutions approved only emphasized humanitarian aid. In addition, the US government approved and provided military aid to the Zionist regime on several occasions during these 4 months.
Many times, people around the world, including in the United States, held demonstrations, declaring the United States a supporter of the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza.
Just a few days ago, people repeatedly interrupted Biden's election speech and emphasized the need to stop the war in Gaza.
So far, Resistance groups have repeatedly threatened to target the US bases in West Asia due to Americans' support for the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza, and they started doing this a long time ago.
Therefore, yesterday's attack on the US base is the result of this country's policy towards the Gaza war, and if this war continues, the repetition of such attacks against America will be expected.
Attack against American positions result of insecurity in West Asian region
The West Asian region is a turbulent and insecure region due to American policies. This chaos and insecurity has reached its peak since 2011 as some countries, including the United States, supported terrorist and takfiri groups.
In recent years, while the regional powers moved towards dialogue and reducing tension in their relations, the Gaza war occurred, and the great powers, especially the United States, did nothing to quell this war. Rather, they defined the actions of the Zionist regime as a legitimate defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran had repeatedly warned that supporting the crimes of the Zionist regime could lead to the spillover of conflict, insecurity, and war in the region, and will also affect the United States.
American officials have repeatedly claimed that they do not want to widen the conflicts in Gaza and turn it into a bigger regional war, but this claim mostly meant that the Axis of Resistance should not respond to the crimes of the Zionist regime and the United States against Gaza.
Continuation of insecurity in region will have more consequences for US
It seems that Americans will react to yesterday's attack. US President Joe Biden said that the US will hold all perpetrators of this attack accountable at the appropriate time.
A large number of American officials have also demanded a decisive response from the United States.
The US thinks that if it does not give a decisive response to this attack, its power will be weakened and such attacks will be repeated.
Therefore, the US response is likely, especially relatively heavy attacks against Resistance positions in Iraq and Syria.
If the insecurity continues in the region due to the Gaza war, the management of the crisis in the West Asian region is out of the hands of the United States, and the result will be more attacks and even more American casualties in the Western region.
Attacks against Americans will stop if the war against Gaza stops and Americans stop supporting the Zionist regime.
It should be noted that 2024 is the year of the US presidential election and the spillover of the Gaza war will also be detrimental to Biden.
America not seeking direct action against Iran
One of the policies of the Zionist regime in the West Asian region is to directly force the United States to enter war, and especially a direct war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
America can take direct military action against Iran. However, the American governments (Trump and Biden administrations) have avoided falling into the trap and have refrained from any direct military action against Iran.
Even now, it seems that the American government is not looking for action against Iran on Iranian soil.
The Pentagon also announced that Iran was not involved in the attack against the United States.
The fact is that basically, the Islamic Republic of Iran has an "independent" view of its regional allies and considers them as independent actors who do not coordinate many of their policies and actions with Tehran.
Hamas also did not coordinate the Al-Aqsa Storm operation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Americans confirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran was not informed about this operation.
Therefore, controversial views inside the US will not move towards a direct conflict with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Conclusion
Yesterday's action against the American positions in West Asia, which was one of the heaviest attacks against this country in recent years, was the result of the full support of the United States to the Zionist regime in the Gaza war and the insecurity in the region.
In other words, this attack was a heavy price that the Zionist regime imposed on America.
The US will likely target the Resistance positions in Syria and Iraq, but the security of American soldiers will be ensured when America pressures the Zionist regime to end the crimes against Gaza.
