The daily expansion of the country’s defense capabilities is among the outcomes of the Islamic Republic’s reliance on domestic capacities, said the Iranian government’s spokesman.
Ali Bahadori Jahromi made the remark on the sidelines of his visit to the Defense Ministry’s military and electronic warfare exhibition, adding he takes immense pride in seeing the technology-based products and equipment produced by the country’s young experts and scientists, IRNA reported.
He said normally, the country’s defense industries are moving ahead of the other domestic sectors in terms of progress, expressing hope that the same achievement, which is a source of pride for any Iranian national, would be made in the other industries of the country, helping accelerate their growth and development.
Bahadori Jahromi added each time that he visits an expo of Iran’s defense achievements, he learns about new aspects of the country’s progress in the defense sector.
He stressed that these achievements are proof that the domestic defense sector is alive, dynamic and thriving and indicative of the country’s increasing capabilities.
The government’s spokesman added the progress of the country’s defense industries proves very well that achievements will be followed if there are correct and effective policymaking as well as stability in decision-making for using domestic capacities appropriately.
He described as a source of pride for Iranian nationals seeing their country equipped with cutting-edge technologies in a large number of industries, including the defense sector.
Earlier, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf lauded the country's achievements in the defense sector despite the unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington against Tehran, according to Fars News Agency.
Qalibaf said, “No power can prevent the continuous increase of Iran's deterrence power and the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities.
He pointed out that the achievements of Iran's defense industry clearly show that "if we trust the country's young experts, we can overcome problems".
