TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Iranian embassy in Tokyo has gifted the “Yusuf and Zuleikha” painting by renowned master of Persian painting miniatures Mahmoud Farshchian to the Japan-based Tochigi International Center (TIC).
This cultural act of presenting the precious painting of “Yusuf and Zuleikha” to the Tochigi International Center in Tochigi Prefecture was carried out in a bid to support artistic and cultural efforts of Iranian students and expatriates in Japan as well as strengthen cooperation with Japanese institutes active in art and culture.
The TIC is a foundation that aims to contribute to build an internationalized society by building a multicultural society, and to promote international exchange and cooperation across the globe.
While expressing gratitude for such an outstanding present, Shigero Minova, the chairman of the Tochigi International Center, said the center conducts different programs to introduce capacities of various countries.
He further expressed satisfaction with the exchange of views and cooperation with Iran in cultural field.
The Iranian cultural section in Japan also sent some books and magazines to the Tochigi International Center to be offered to enthusiasts, who want to become acquainted with the Iranian culture and art.
