Core of Zionist regime based on apartheid

British political analyst told Qodsna

Prof. Rodney Shakespeare said that “the ceasefire is a Palestinian victory because, even more than before, the underlying issues have been revealed to the world. The principal issue is that Israel is a racist entity with ever-deepening apartheid at its core.”

Tehran (Qodsna) - On the occasion of the departure anniversary of Imam Khomeini, British political analyst, Prof. Rodney Shakespeare spoke with Qods News Agency in an exclusive interview on Monday and talked about the influential character of Imam Khomeini, his impacts on the Palestinian issue, and the recent ceasefire between the Zionist regime and Palestinian resistance groups.

He noted that Imam Khomeini was a global figure in the eyes of foreign political and cultureal elites, saying that the reason for this matter was his “independence.”

“One word -- independence -- sums up the greatness of Imam Khomeini.  And that is why the arrogant, domineering, aggressive, colonialising West hates the Imam,” he said.

Rodney Shakespeare went on to say that the Palestinian issue is the most important challenge of the Islamic world, “because the Zionist entity is really a settler outpost whose hegemonic purpose is to colonize and destroy native peoples and their culture.”

The British figure also talked about recent ceasefire between Palestinians and the Zionist regime, stressing that “the ceasefire is a Palestinian victory because, even more than before, the underlying issues have been revealed to the world. The principal issue is that Israel is a racist entity with ever-deepening apartheid at its core.”

“The rise is not only among Palestinians: it is going on around the world primarily due to the success of the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement in alerting world opinion to the inherently racist nature of the Zionist entity. More and more people are recognizing that the Zionist entity is embarked on illegal occupation and annexation and a continual policy which amounts to a nasty attempt at creeping genocide,” he added.

Referring to global solidarity with Palestinians, Prof. Rodney Shakespeare highlighted that “Israel's isolation will grow AND the so-called 'normalization' deals with some Arab regimes will have a long-tern effect of increasing the isolation. The reason for that increase is that the regimes are medieval, feudal and barbaric i.e., not in touch with the trend of history, just as Israel is not in touch.”
