Turkey Invites Zionist Minister to Forum

ANKARA (Kayhan Intl.) – Turkey has sent an invitation to the Zionist regime’s energy minister Yuval Steinitz to attend a conference hosted in Antalya in June despite international outcry against rapprochement with the occupying regime, a Turkish official has confirmed to Middle East Eye.

The invitation, the first since relations between the countries broke down after Zionist troops killed 60 Palestinians in Gaza in 2018, was first reported by the Israeli media outlet Kaan on Wednesday night.
If Steinitz decides to attend the event, it would be the first such visit to Turkey by a regime official in years.
Turkey and the Zionist regime have been conducting talks to patch up their downgraded relations since last year through intelligence agencies.
The Zionist regime, directly and through the media, has demanded Ankara expel some leaders of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas from Turkey.
Turkey’s decision to invite the Zionist minister comes as the Muslim world is outraged over some Arab countries’ normalization of ties with the Zionist regime.
Palestinians consider the move as a stab in the back of their cause and aspiration for statehood.
