"They planned and God planned, and certainly God is the Best of planners.” (Holy Qur’an 3:54)
Today, on the 41st anniversary of the miracle that wiped out a well-trained force of commandos of the world’s most dangerously nuclear-armed power that tried in vain to topple the Islamic Republic system of government, the Iranian nation ought not to be content with its spectacular progress in the defence field, but should leave no stone unturned to transform the country into the most invulnerable bastion in the region.
The US debacle at Tabas indeed stands out as a Divine slap on the face of history’s most evil power – rightly dubbed the ‘Great Satan’ by that Sage of the Age, Imam Khomeini (RA).
On this day in 1980 when the elephantine American force launched a surprise attack while the Muslim Iranian nation was asleep with full trust and confidence in God Almighty, the sands around Tabas in the remote northeastern desert of Iran suddenly became animated sending the US planes and personnel crashing into each other.
Flames leapt from all sides and within moments Washington’s dream of forcing Iran back into its orbit evaporated for good.
It refreshed the minds of the sceptics about what the Holy Qur’an has narrated of the wiping out of the Elephant-led force of the Ethiopian governor of Yemen, Abraha in 570 AD when that arrogant unbeliever attempted to storm the symbolic house of the One and Only Lord in Mecca, the holy Ka’ba.
"What! Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the hordes of the Elephant? Did he not cause their device to err?” (Holy Qur’an)
The rest is history. For the past four decades Uncle Sam has spared no efforts, whether political, economic, cultural, industrial, technological etc., to try to check the progress of the Iranian nation, but it has failed miserably.
This explains why a frustrated US has resorted to economic terrorism by threatening world countries with sanctions if they purchase Iranian oil, on the misconstrued belief that the Islamic Republic will bow to his dictates and forego all its legitimate rights.
In the face of such cowardice by our archenemy we ought to stand firm and continue to upgrade our defences, which in July 2019 brought down the most sophisticated and expensive US military drone, ‘RQ-4 Global Hawk’ on our southern borders when it violated our airspace.
We also proudly recall how our marine border guards had seized an American naval vessel when it entered our territorial waters in late 2015, and our Iranian-made weapons have proved to be more than a match for the state-of-the-art US military technology by terrorists, including the Zionists, in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and elsewhere.
In view of these undeniable facts, April 24 will remain a red-letter day in the annals of the Islamic Revolution long after the US ceases to exist on the map of the world.
The message is loud and clear "God is the Best of planners”, but in order to be thankful to the Almighty Creator, we should never trust satanic powers, especially the US, and ought to strive to expel all American terrorists from the whole region.
