Supreme Leader’s Aide: Israel Encircled by Own Walls

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Supreme Leader's top adviser for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said that the separation walls have surrounded the Zionist regime, noting that nations have been awakened by the discourse of Resistance.

“The Zionist regime has been enclosed within its separation walls and the discourse of Resistance has awakened nations, Velayati said on Tuesday.

He noted that the discourse of Resistance has led to the unity of Muslims, foiled US plots in West Asia and further resulted in the defeat of the Zionist regime in a military confrontation with the Palestinian people.

Velayati emphasized that the US and the Zionist regime are making every efffort to divert public opinion from the so-called “Deal of the Century” by duping a number of Arab countries into normalization of their ties with the Israeli regime.

The Supreme Leader’s advisor reiterated that Israel has targeted Muslims’ first Qibla for the past 70 years, adding that building of Jewish settlements, displacement of Palestinians, brutal killing in camps, attacking holy sites, and genocide in Gaza and the West Bank are among Israel’s crimes.

In relevant remarks in mid-September, Ali Akbar Velayati blasted the UAE and Bahrain for normalization of relations with Israel, saying that they are building a house of cards.

Addressing the 13th meeting of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening held via video conference on Wednesday September 16, to discuss the recent normalization of ties between Israel and the two Arab states which was attended by participants from some 50 Muslim countries, Velayati condemned the normalization of relations between certain Arab countries and the Zionist regime as "a malicious scheme" and "a prelude to the full implementation of the 'deal of the century' and a publicity stunt."

"Instead of relying on divine promises, the unity of word, the will of the people and the unparalleled capacities of the Islamic world, some Persian Gulf vassal states have pinned their hopes on nothing and built a house of cards so that they should pay the price for and suffer the consequences of this humiliating compromise and normalization from their countries' national and spiritual assets," he added.

Velayati described the Palestinian issue as the top priority of the Muslim world over the past seven decades, and said.
