The latest provocation by CENTCOM terrorists in Syria that led to the martyrdom of a Syrian soldier and injury to two others warrants decisive response from the government of Damascus, not just mere protests.
The US which has intruded militarily into Syria in violation of the UN Charter and has refused to leave despite repeated calls from Damascus, should not be left unpunished for its fresh act of state terrorism.
Monday’s incident near Tell az-Zakhab, southeast of the city of Qamishli in Hasakah Province, where US helicopter gunships unmanly fired at a Syrian army checkpoint following the failure of an American military convoy to invade the area, once again draws attention to Washington’s devilish designs in a country which for the past nine years has successfully thwarted the bid to overthrow its elected government by murderous outfits backed by the West in complicity with the unelected and rootless Arab regimes, the illegal Zionist entity, and at times Turkey.
This was not the first instance of the CENTCOM terrorists trying to enter areas under control of the Syrian government. In the past, local people in Syrian towns and villages have repeatedly barred entry to US military convoys and forced them to return to their illegal bases.
The US military and its accomplices in the terrorist-held areas of Syria have regularly targeted and killed civilians, while stealing Syrian natural resources, especially oil from the Deir az-Zore area.
Recently, an agreement was struck between a US oil company, Delta Crescent Energy, and the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in northeastern Syria for sale of the region’s oil, a move amounting to "daylight robbery” which has been denounced by the government of Syria.
Syria has notified the UN of American lawlessness and condemned in the strongest terms as "null and void” the illegal agreement signed between SDF (considered a terrorist militia) and a US oil company to steal Syria’s oil under the sponsorship and support of Washington.
Meanwhile, as the roguish regime of Donald Trump piles sanctions upon illegal sanctions on Syria in frustration for the US failure to browbeat President Bashar al-Assad into submission, the Zionist entity continues its air raids in a bid to prevent the Syrian national army from launching mopping up operations in the terrorist-occupied parts of Idlib Province in the north.
The terrorists are on their last legs in Idlib and this explains the US-Zionist provocations that often lead to the shedding of blood of Syrian civilians and at times military personnel.
The Free World supports the government of Syria and will definitely approve counter measures by Damascus to weed out all uninvited forces from its soil, including the Americans.
Syria’s patience has limits, and it is time for well-planned retaliation, since only decisive action on the ground to send back to the US in body bags some of the CENTCOM terrorists, will make public opinion in the US realize the risk to the lives of their loved ones by the criminal clique in power in Washington.
