Iran’s Rapidly Advancing Aeronautic Power

By: Kayhan Int’l

While the US is threatening push through the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) a resolution against lifting of the illegal arms embargo upon Iran, the Islamic Republic by relying on its domestic capabilities and the ingenuity of its aeronautic engineers is steadily marching towards self-sufficiency and manufacturing sophisticated aircraft.
The latest example in this regard is the recent mass manufacture and supply to the air force of the first batch of the advanced 4th generation Kowsar fighter planes.
The Kowsar is produced in single and two-seater variants, with a flight range of 1,100 km and maximum speed of 1.6 Mach with service ceiling of 50,000 ft.
This is a firm slap on the face of the US and the poisonous propaganda of Donald Trump and his thuggish administration that the expiry of the UN arms embargo in October would enable Iran to purchase stealth aircraft (Russian Sukhoi Su-57 and Chines Chengdu J-20) capable of flying as far as Germany.
No Mr. Mike Pompeo, you are not more than a mindless gangster, even though your equally brainless boss has placed you as head of the US State Department.
As a matter of fact, arms embargo or not, Iran’s rapidly advancing aeronautic industry is all set to manufacture faster-than-sound aircraft and missiles with hypersonic speed (Mach 2, 3, etc.) – a sampling of which the intruding US air force got June last year when the sophisticated radar evading Global Hawk drone tried to violate Iranian air space
Interestingly, the ingenuity of Iran’s young and enterprising generation is beginning to be appreciated by even those who until now were the sworn enemies of the Islamic Republic system, such as the last Iranian ambassador to the US of the British-installed and US-supported Pahlavi potentate.
Ardeshir Zahedi, son of the notorious Colonel Fazlollah Zahedi (the main Iranian agent who carried out the Anglo-American coup of August 1953 against the legal government of Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mosaddeq), has made an about-turn by admitting the power and prestige of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian revolutionaries.
In his latest remarks, the ailing nonagenarian who a couple of months ago had paid glowing tributes to Martyr Qassem Soleimani and cursed the Shah, his courtiers, and also himself, regarding their treason against the nation, including the sellout of Bahrain, has said:
"Whether Trump of doubtful parentage likes it or not, Iran has manufactured fighter jets. I honestly admit that today I am proud of the young Iranian generation which is manufacturing advanced aircraft during the peak of sanctions against the country. I know, I am not going to live long and will be buried in exile, but I feel honoured of the spectacular achievements of today’s Iran – the Islamic Republic.”
Indeed, there is nothing the US can do to stop Iran’s march towards the pinnacles of progress and self-reliance in all fields, as the Islamic Republic while advancing in the aeronautics field has already entered the exploration of outer space, as is evident by its successful launching of satellites to orbit Planet Earth.
