On Saturday noon, militants of the Turkish-backed factions carried out a violent attack aimed at controlling the village of "Mar'anaz", which is controlled by the "Afrin Liberation Forces" affiliated to the Kurdish units in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Private sources stated that the attack began with violent bombing attacks targeting the village of "Mar'anaz" and its surroundings with the militants' artillery stationed on the outskirts of the neighboring city of "Azaz", and with the support of Turkish artillery located in the village of "Kemar", south of Afrin.
Covered by the shelling, large numbers of armed factions advanced on the ground towards "Mar'anaz" and reached the defensive lines of the "Afrin Liberation Forces", resulting in violent clashes that continued for several hours, amid continued Turkish violent shelling on the village.
According to the sources, the clashes resulted in killing 6 militants of the pro-Ankara factions and injuring 6 others. A number of injuries were recorded within the members of "Afrin liberation Forces", before the militants withdrew towards their areas of control in the city of "Azaz", without entering the village or making any significant changes to the controlling map in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The shelling towards the village also resulted in great material damage to the property of civilians, and set fire in a large area of the residents' agricultural land, while no human casualties were recorded.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish forces and their factions are still deliberately targeting with missiles and explosive bullets the villages controlled by the "Afrin Liberation Forces" north of Aleppo, which have resulted in burning dozens of hectares of agricultural land during the past days, in addition, a number of civilians were sniped while attempting to suppress the fires in their lands.
