TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Venezuela’s Ambassador to Tehran Carlos Antonio Alcala Cordones praised the Iranian shipment of fuel to his country as a symbol of solidarity between two brotherly nations and the struggle against the US’ bullying and unilateral policies.
In an interview with Tasnim, the Venezuelan ambassador said the arrival of Iranian oil tankers to Venezuela signifies the courage of two nations.
The shipment of Iranian fuel to Venezuela has become a symbol of solidarity between two brotherly nations and demonstrates the courageous morale of two nations which do not give in to pressure and have found a peaceful solution to trade in compliance with the international law, he added.
Cordones also praised the Venezuelan and Iranian nations for favoring fair trade and building bilateral ties on the basis of mutual trust and friendship.
The ambassador then noted that Iran’s fuel export to Venezuela despite the US threats has opened a new chapter in trade exchanges in defiance of the US government’s bullying, unilateral and extraterritorial policies.
The successful delivery of Iranian fuel to Venezuela proved that it is possible to stand against the US imperialism and its allies via peaceful methods and in conformity with the international regulations, the envoy added.
The third cargo of an Iranian tanker flotilla carrying fuel for Venezuela has reached the South American nation’s exclusive economic zone on Tuesday as the previous two were discharging at state-run PDVSA’s ports.
The first Iranian fuel tanker, Fortune, had arrived in Venezuelan territorial waters on Saturday night, despite the continuous US threats to prevent it.
