Western analysts themselves have acknowledged that the United States has conducted 70 covert and overt military operations during the Cold War aimed at overthrowing various governments.
NOURNEWS - Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, stated that United States had conducted 70 military operations during the Cold War to overthrow regimes in various countries.
The senior diplomat pointed out this issue by citing information from Western analysts amid ongoing remarks by US officials about "Russian interference" in the US election process.
Ulyanov wrote on his Twitter account: "Washington officials are almost obsessed with "Russia's involvement in the US election," while even Western analysts themselves estimate that during the Cold War alone, the United States had 64 covert operations and six specific military operations to change undesirable regimes."
US intelligence agencies accuse Russia of meddling in the 2016 US election. An investigation into the alleged attempt, particularly between Russian officials and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who later became president, was carried out for nearly two years by U.S. Attorney General Robert Mueller, which Mueller later admitted that there was no conspiracy.
Moscow officials have repeatedly denied allegations that Russia was trying to influence the US election process.
