TEHRAN (FNA)- Former Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Mohsen Rezayee voiced certainty about the victory of Resistance, saying that Israel is weakening day by day.
Rezayee, the secretary of Iran's Expediency Council (SNSC), made the remarks in an interview with Lebanon's Al-Nour Radio on Sunday.
He said that Lebanon’s victory in 2000 was important because it was the first time an Islamic country defeated the Zionist regime by relying on its own capabilities.
“Israel has become smaller and weaker by the day,” Rezayee said, pointing to the need to continue resistance till the regime is gone.
“There is a great victory awaiting all the Resistance forces,” he said, adding that there are challenges on this path that Resistance countries should endure to achieve this aim.
“There is propaganda in Arab countries claiming that the resistance is futile and Israeli regime will not be eliminated. But we say Israel is becoming weaker and collapsing and its elimination will be realized,” Rezayee noted.
Asked about some Arab countries’ efforts to normalize ties with the Israeli regime, he said that these efforts are doomed to failure and can even help Palestine since the Islamic world will see who is "stabbing the Palestinian nation on the back".
Last Friday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said that the Zionist Virus as the record holder of human evil will soon be eliminated like the coronavirus.
Addressing the worldwide Muslims in a live televised speech on the occasion of the International al-Quds Day, Ayatollah Khamenei considered the dawn of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the subsequent emergence of the Resistance Front to be factors that have impeded the "Zionist virus".
He stressed the fact that the Zionist regime, the worst human evil, will be uprooted from the Middle East despite being supported by the United States and its minions, in the not-too-distant future. Without a doubt, the Zionist virus, which is the record holder of human evil, won’t last long, and it will be uprooted.
