Syria’s Steady Success Against US-Backed Terrorists

By: Kayhan Int’l
The recent days have seen significant changes on the ground in Syria, especially to the detriment of the US forces whose illegal presence and support for terrorists is a clear violation of the United Nations charter regarding sovereign independent countries.
While government forces have retaken the oilfields in the Badia region of the Syrian desert after battles with the Daesh terrorist outfit, in the lush green region near Qamishli in the northeast on the Syrian-Turkish border, residents of the Abu Qasaeib and ar-Rhaia as-Souda villages blocked a convoy of at least five US army vehicles on its way to the assist the besieged terrorists in Idlib and forced it to turn to its occupation base in the Euphrates region.
This is the second time over the past two weeks that the US occupation soldiers’ attempts to drive through the same area in the al-Hasaka governorate to assist terrorists in Idlib, has been successfully thwarted by civilians determined to defend their homeland.
In at least two other separate incidents earlier this month in the nearby village of Hamo, local civilians denied passage to US military personnel and its puppet militia known as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
At the same time in the strategic at-Tanf region where the borders of Syria, Iraq, and Jordan meet, 34 more members of the US trained militia, Maghawir ath-Thawra, defected to the Syrian government forces along with their vehicles and American weapons – the second group of the said militia to do so since last March.
These and similar developments indicate the resolve of Syria to liberate every inch of its soil, whether from the control of the terrorists or from the occupation of the US and Turkish forces.
Damascus has repeatedly demanded that all uninvited occupying forces vacate its territory in accordance with international law.
Meanwhile, Syria’s Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources said regarding the newly liberated oilfields of Badia in the Homs governorate: "Wells and oil and gas installations in Hayyan and ash-Shaer fields in the countryside have been put back into production after they were recaptured from the Daesh terrorists.”
It is no secret that the Americans are training various terrorist outfits in Syria, as part of their futile bid to destabilize the government in Damascus, following failure of their 9-year long conflict to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
The US recently released from prison hundreds of Daesh terrorists, and after equipping them with the latest American weaponry is training them in various parts of Syria, such as 55 square km zone in at-Tanf, where the plan is to disrupt trade traffic on the M2 Baghdad–Damascus Highway connecting Syria and Iraq.
Syria, however, thanks to the support provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia, is today in a stronger position, and one wrong move by the US will definitely see the Americans leaving home in body bags instead on their feet.
Donald Trump and his team of cowardly thugs in Washington are living in a fool’s paradise if they think the illegal presence of their troops, whether in Syria or in Iraq, will prevent the countries of the region from building bilateral ties and economic development.
That also explains the growing frustration of the illegal Zionist entity, which scared to death at the prospects of Syria liberating the Golan Heights, continues to indulge in its sporadic acts of dastardly aerial terrorism in and around Damascus that one fine day will definitely draw massive retaliation by turn Tel Aviv into a burning hell.
