Hamas Strongly Rejects UAE Support for US Sanction on Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The spokesperson of the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, Sami Abu Zuhi, strongly dismissed the United

Arab Emirates’ remarks about the movement’s support for Iran against the "unlawful American sanctions".

Hamas Strongly Rejects UAE Support for US Sanction on Iran

Responding to Emirati Foreign Minister Anwar Qarqash, Abu Zuhri said in a tweet
that what is “abnormal” is in fact hosting the leaders of Israeli occupation in Abu
Dhabi while they have committed numerous crimes against the Palestinian
people, in reference to a recent visit by the Minister of Sports and Culture of
Israel to the country, and playing the Israeli anthem twice in the United Arab
Emirates’ soil, according to the Palestinian Information Center.
Gargash attacked the position of Hamas who had rejected the US sanctions
against Iran.
Hamas spokesperson rejected the US sanctions on Iran and called it a natural
stance against American bullying, but he continued that what is not normal is
to host the “criminal Israeli officials,” on Arab soil because of their crimes
against the Palestinian people.
Israeli Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev traveled to the UAE on October
25 to accompany Israel’s judo team at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2018.
The UAE has long claimed to be an advocate of the Palestinian cause. It has
no formal relations with the Tel Aviv regime, but the two sides have been
working to gradually normalize their ties.
Palestinian officials, including Hamas have taken strong opposition against
increasing gravitation between Tel Aviv and the UAE as well as some other
regional Arab states.
