Lebanon’s Islamic Amal Front Welcomes Al-Azhar Call to Halt War

IQNA – Supporting the call by Al-Azhar chief Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb to end wars and conflicts, the Islamic Amal Front of Lebanon urged the formation of an Arab and Islamic committee to mediate, de-escalate tensions, and preserve the unity of the Islamic Ummah.

Lebanon’s Islamic Amal Front Welcomes Al-Azhar Call to Halt War

According to the media unit of the Islamic Amal Front of Lebanon, the group issued a statement supporting the appeal by Sheikh Al-Tayeb for an immediate and comprehensive cessation of wars, conflicts, and destruction.

It called for the establishment of a committee composed of wise and conscientious figures to mediate and contain the crises.

“Throughout history, arrogance and a sense of superiority have consistently been traits of despots. The policy of divide and rule has been their perennial method for consolidating their dominion—a strategy through which they have subjugated nations, plundered their wealth, and reduced them to slavery,” the Lebanese group said in a statement.

“If every era has its own Pharaoh, then the Pharaoh of our time is American Zionism—embodied in the figures of Trump and Netanyahu—which ceaselessly strives to sow the seeds of discord and division within our societies across the Islamic world, particularly in the Middle East.”

The group said it advocates adherence to the path of the Holy Quran—a Quran that emphasizes the unity of Muslims under the banner of God as the sole means to counter all the conspiracies and diabolical schemes of the Zionists and the Americans.

The call issued by Al-Azhar is in full harmony and alignment with the spirit of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (traditions) of our Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH), the statement said, adding that the time has come for certain Arab governments to realize that aligning themselves with Zionist-American agendas will yield nothing but humiliation, disgrace, the collapse of their thrones, and the ruin of their nations.

The statement went on to say that Palestine will endure as a living cause—as long as the Quran is recited, and until the Day of Judgment—regardless of the conspiracies woven against it or its abandonment by those who fail to uphold their duty to support it.
