Int’l Book Writing Competition on Prophet’s Seerah Planned

IQNA – The Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, is going to organize an international book writing competition on the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The Astan has called on authors of Islamic books in Arabic and English to participate in the “Al-Makeen” international competition focusing on the best book in the field of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life, Al-Kafeel reported.

The Dar al-Rasul al-Azam, affiliated to the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Astan, is organizing the international cultural event.

Its aim is to encourage researchers and writers to produce scientific works in the field of the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) and intellectual and cultural issues related to it.

According to the organizers, the conditions for participating in this competition are as follows:

- The submitted work must not have been published previously, not been submitted in any other competition, not be a university thesis or doctoral dissertation, and not be adapted from any of them.

- The work must be original and innovative, and based on the Holy Quran, present the truths of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life, and follow the strict standards of scientific research.

- Works are accepted in both Arabic and English.

- The book must be at least 150 pages long, with Simplified Arabic font and size 14.

- The submitted works will be evaluated by specialized judging committees, and the Dar al-Rasul al-Azam is not required to announce the reasons for not accepting the works.

- Works that score at least 90 points in the evaluation will have the opportunity to enter the competition stage to receive prizes.

- The Dar al-Rasul al-Azam will undertake the printing of selected and non-selected works, subject to approval by the scientific and intellectual committees.

- The rights to print the selected works are reserved for the organizer of the competition.

- The works must be sent via email to daralrasoul313@gmail.com.

Registration to participate in this competition began on February 4, and the deadline for receiving works is May 16, 2026.
