Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says the millennia-old celebration, Nowruz, represents solidarity and common aspirations among regional nations.

Qalibaf sent separate messages to the speakers of parliaments in Turkey, the Azerbaijan Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and India, which mark the arrival of Nowruz this Friday.
In his message, Iran’s speaker conveyed his “sincere congratulations” to his counterparts, as well as to the governments and people of their respective countries.
“Now that the spring of nature has coincided with the spring of the Quran and has revealed a manifestation of divine glory and beauty, an opportunity has arisen once again to renew friendships, expand kindness, and strengthen convergence among Nowruz-celebrating nations,” he wrote.
Qalibaf described Nowruz as one of the most significant cultural heritages of regional civilizations, highlighting its role in fostering unity, preserving shared values, and reinforcing common aspirations.
He also underlined Iran’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation with neighboring countries to enhance regional security, stability, and comprehensive development, particularly in economic, political, and cultural fields.
