Caucasus stakeholders meet in Istanbul for regional dialogue

Representatives from Russia, Armenia, Iran and Azerbaijan convened in Istanbul today to discuss regional stability and cooperation in the Caucasus, Anadolu Agency reports.

The meeting, hosted by Turkiye, included high-level officials such as Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, chaired the discussions, emphasizing Turkiye’s role as a mediator. The agenda focused on border security, trade routes, energy development and conflict resolution, aiming to find sustainable solutions for the region.

The outcomes of the talks are being closely monitored by international observers, as the dialogue carries significant implications for peace and cooperation in the Caucasus.
